When a gorgeous location, a fun family, and perfect weather come together, you just can't beat the results.
The idea for this photo session was to do something different than all the sessions this family had done in the past. The have lots of great photos in park-like settings, but nothing more urban.
Nancy suggested Old Towne Orange for the shoot, and I was eager to check it out. Old Towne Orange is a downtown neighborhood filled with funky shops, fun places to eat, and gorgeous homes.
The light just before sunset was warm and soft. The trees cast interesting shadows on the walls and the shade gave us the perfect lighting for portraits.
We avoided the central fountain area due to it's park-like setting, but it would make a great backdrop in the future.
During the session we played games like “Simon Says” and "Follow the Leader."
The outfits that Nancy selected for the shoot were perfect. Gabriel looks cool in jeans and a button down shirt, while Eli is absolutely adorable in his "bank clothes." Nancy's outfit perfectly contrasts the boy's clothes. Her boots and skirt perfectly balance her coral top and turquoise accents. This mama has style!
We found this great turquoise staircase outside a bank. The natural shade lighting and the vibrant paint perfectly complement the mood and style of the shoot.
I can't wait to see the images from this session up on the wall. Thanks for the great afternoon!
